January 22nd Friday at 3.45 pm, 8 graduates of 2009 GCE “O” Level Course, namely Ms. Tian Lu, Mr. Wu Zhi Xin, Ms. Zhu Qin Fen, Ms. Wang Zhe, Mr. Huang Tian, Ms. Liu Hong Zheng, Mr. Zhou Shu Fan and Ms. Guo Mei Lin were invited to share their experience on ways to cope with their study especially the English subject; on how teachers’ guidance and teaching had influenced their study and their secrets to the road of success. These graduates scored an aggregate of not more than 15 points.

Dimensions International College’s CEO, Mr. Vincent Tan Peng Choong opened the seminar with an encouraging speech. He strongly urged students to

be attentive and to follow through the teaching of their teachers so as to achieve good results in their English and other subjects. Furthermore, he advised them to concentrate on their studies while in Singapore and interact with friends in their study together. “The college is also tightening up its policy with a view to improving the results of the current students,” said Dr. Tan seriously.

Mr. Sim Gwan Teck, the Director of Student Affairs Department shared his report that 6 students from Dimensions, who currently are studying Diploma in Intelligent Building Technology course in our polytechnics, had obtained the top 10 Director’s List for their good results. He foresaw that many of the 2009 Batch of graduates would be enrolled into the polytechnics soon. “This is evident that the teachers’ and staff’s effort is fruitful. They undoubtedly strengthen the confidence of all students studying at Dimensions”. Mr. Sim said jubilantly.

Next, Dr. Ler Boon Chong (Director of Quality Management and the founder of Alumni Dimensions) and Mr. Gao Zheng Kun (Alumni’s President, 2008 “O” Level Graduate) also addressed the students with words of encouragement. They shared their own experience on learning the English Language. The morale of current “O” Level students was high as they had the good opportunity of listening to the useful guidance concerning their studies for their future.
The 2009 “O” Level Experience-Sharing Seminar ended smoothly after a round of Q&A session between students and the graduates. Students had learnt from the graduates on how to make good use of their revision time and also their “secret recipe” to finally achieving success.
