University of Ballarat, Australia
The history of University of Ballarat, Australia dates back to 1870 through its predecessor institutions when the School of Mines and Industries Ballarat was founded. This makes it the third oldest tertiary education institution in Australia. The University is Australia’s only regional multi-sector university, incorporating secondary schooling, technical and further education (TAFE), higher education and research opportunities.

Having collaborations with a range of partner institutes across Australia and internationally, the University has around 25,000 international and domestic students. The University of Ballarat has been conducting external degree programmes in foreign countries for more than 10 years; field of study includes Nursing, Business and Information Technology at both graduate and undergraduate levels. These programmes have been conducted in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Wellington in New Zealand as well as China in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Dong Guan.
