My name is Wang Jian from China. I had been studying at Dimensions for almost 1 year. As a former student of Dimensions, it is my pleasure to give you my several tips and recommendations for learning English and share some of my English-learning experiences, especially my skills of preparing and taking IELTS examinations with you.

 First, I would like to start with my comments on learning environment at Dimensions. Although Dimensions has a relatively small campus, there are many advantages of    

studying here. What I like the most are the classes and courses arrangement, and native English teachers who are responsible and knowledgeable. During one year study here, through discussions and debates with international classmates and teachers, my speaking skills improved a lot and I was able to think in the way of a native English speaker. Meanwhile, I benefited from the variety of different opinions and understanding, which I believed would broaden my international horizons. However, in order to make full use of these advantages, you must ensure that you are willing to share your own perspectives and participate actively and heartily in every lesson.

I would like to say thank you The Lord for all blessings he had given to me.

First of all, he gave me the chance to study in Dimensions International College, Singapore. I learned a lot of things here and finished my Culinary Arts course in this college.
Secondly, thanks to all the staff and teachers who helped me during my study here.

Thirdly, thanks to all the lecturers for their good teaching.

Fourthly, the school campus, canteen and library are all fine, clean and neat. This college can be a good example locally and abroad.

That is why I, Hans P. Reyes, am a proud student of Dimensions International College of Culinary Arts and most happy to complete my study here. The most important that the school had provided me was On-Job-Training (OJT) for 6 months. I am very thankful to the Lord for giving me all these opportunities. Thank you, Dimensions for everything.

My name is Sun Sheng and I hailed from Jiangsu, China. I was a student of Dimensions International College from year 2004 and had gone through a difficult time in pursuing my education in Singapore. Today, I am pleased to say that I am an undergraduate student of the University of Sunderland in UK.

My failure to do well in the GCE “O” Level examination taught me how to overcome my difficulties and find alternative paths to achieve my ambition. I realized that I must improve my standard of English in order to progress

in my education. In 2006, I enrolled myself in the BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) and also started to work hard on the English Language. With two years of learning and help from my teachers, I was able to gain admission into the University of Sunderland with my HND transcripts and IELTS result.

I owed much to the learning environment provided by Dimensions International College which greatly motivated me to work hard. My teachers, in particular, Mr. Ng Chong Kiong, Mr. Soo Koon Liat, Mr. Lam Ah Go and others guided and inspired me a lot that I finally make it to the university.

Thanks to my Alma Mater for helping me to progress that far in pursuing of my dreams. The things that I learnt during my study in Singapore have prepared me well for the challenges of university education in UK.

I studied in Dimensions International College for two years. Now I am about to graduate and I would like to write a thank you letter. It is not easy for us foreign students to live and study in Singapore. Dimensions is just like a home for us. I took the “O” Level course, all of us wanted to pass the examination and go to polytechnic. However, there were many barriers in front of us and we must overcome the difficulties.

In the first year of “O” Level, I failed. The feeling of failure made me very upset, and the facilitators in Dimensions

suggested me to retake the course for another year. In the second year, I slacked off sometimes and the teachers always encouraged me. At last, I passed my English in “O” Level. My experience in studying English is trying to listen to radio, such as BBC. Listening helps us build-up sentence structure and use proper English. The most important thing is to keep on going and never give up. Thank you again for teaching me throughout the period.
