Singapore is a safe, disciplined and knowledge-based
environment highly conducive for a good education. English,
an international language, is used mainly as the medium of instruction
for all levels of education.
The public education sector in Singapore has always received
sufficient funding from the government budget each year. The
education system aims to bring out the best in all students.
Singapore's official bilingual policy (English and Mother
Tongue) has achieved remarkable results over the years. This
has attracted parents of other Asian nationalities to send
their children to study in Singapore and later, proceed to
other English-speaking universities to further their studies.
Both the public schools and the private education organisations,
including Dimensions Education Group, conduct courses leading
to the internationally-recognised and acceptable basic academic
qualifications for overseas tertiary education: such as the
Cambridge GCE 'O' level examinations, in addition to many
