2nd school campus, Dimensions Hospitality School
Following Dimensions’ success of
its operations at the main campus located at 58 Lowland
Road, a new hospitality school under the auspices of Dimensions
International College, will start operations at 9-3 Jalan
Seh Chuan, off Upper Bukit Timah Road, in March 2009.
Sited prominently opposite the
Beauty World Plaza and a proposed Bukit Timah Circle
Line MRT Station, Dimensions’ second campus, will be
a showcase for hospitality studies in Singapore.
The Hospitality School will have a grand
foyer and reception at the entrance, reminiscence of
a hotel setup. In addition, there will be an admin office,
meeting rooms, library, computer room and a café for
snacks and drinks.

Our main School Campus is located at No.58 Lowland
Road, just 5-10 minutes of walking distance from the
KOVAN MRT station, along Upper Serangoon Road. The School
campus occupies an area of approximately 19000 sq meters
and comprises modern air-conditioned classrooms, auditorium,
library, laboratory for physics and chemistry courses,
multi-media room, mock-up restaurants, mock-up bars
and mock-up hotel accommodations. In addition, we have
a soccer field, basketball courts, badminton courts
and table-tennis facilities for the sports enthusiasts.
Located near the Kovan MRT station is the Heartland
Mall, where numerous shops, eating establishments, banks
and a supermarket, provide convenient services to the
people living around the area.
The facilities in the school campus and varied convenient
services around it, we assure parents and students of
the safe, and conducive studying environment that makes
it for an interesting school life and where students
can achieve a more complete all-round education as well
as good academic results.
Roar of Honour
“Singapore F1 Grand Prix”
While the first ever night race of Singapore
F1 Grand Prix has won the island nation unequivocal acclaim
worldwide for a visually-stunning and thrill-packed spectacle,
25 students has made Dimensions and their fellow classmates
proud by impressing the organization with their excellent
attitude and high service quality during the training at the
Singapore F1. We also feel honoured to be able to make a humble

A National Day Award to Mr. Woo Kin, PB, PBM, our Manager/Head
of Student Affairs Department
Mr. Woo Kin, Manager/Head of Student Affairs
Department in Dimensions Education Group, has been conferred
The Public Service Star (BBM) by President S. R. Nathan of
the Republic of Singapore in the 2008 National Day Awards.
Mr. Woo, who has been an active and a diligent community leader,
serves in several civic and grassroots organizations in Singapore

A
new era in Hospitality has dawn with the inaugural partnership
between Dimensions Education Group and International Bartenders
Association.
The dynamic partnership
will help boost the level of service quality and creativity
in the hospitality industry, especially the bartending element.
The ceremony was a roaring success. All participants
were impressed with the bar set-up which had a futurist design
that facilitated teaching and is appropriate for international
bartending competitions.
We had an overwhelming respond for the event.
The participants included an international cast from the Hospitality
Industry. They hail from: Germany, Japan & Far East, Taiwan,
Portugal representing Europe, Venezuela representing South
America, Cuba representing North America, New Zealand representing
Southern Hemisphere and Singapore.
The ceremony was auspices by re-known international
and local bartenders and hoteliers. This partnership will
forge new frontiers in bartending and F&B. Overseas and
local bartenders and hospitality personnel can look forward
to new and creative courses being developed to meet the ever
changing consumer needs as Singapore ventures into becoming
a global tourist and entertainment hub.

Launching
of Dimensions Alumni
Dimensions Alumni, an organization
of the Dimensions Education Group, was launched by Dr.
Vincent Tan, Principal/CEO on 14th September 2007. A ribbon
- cutting ceremony was officiated by Mr. Teo Chong Tee,
JP, Chairman and Senior Advisor of Advisory Committee.
Present at the launch were Dimensions’s Senior Management
and its staff, the Alumni Committee headed by its President
Mr. Liu Xuan as well as the past and present fellow students
of Dimensions who also turned up to show their support.
Approximately 100 persons were present to witness the
launch. Mr. Sim Gwan Tek, Director of Student Affairs,
delivered an introductory speech as the Alumni Advisor.
In his speech, the Alumni President, Mr. Liu listed
three main objectives in the formation of the Dimensions
Alumni.

Fostering social relationship and
promoting a mutual understanding among fellow students,
teachers and the school administrators.
(2)
Acting as a useful channel for communication
among past and present students and between them
and the schools.
(3)
Setting out to create an interactive platform
in order to assist the present fellow students in
their studies at Dimensions.
In his address, Dr. Tan urged
students, past and present, to become Alumni members and
wished that its membership will grow from strength to
strength in the years ahead. He encouraged more meaningful
activities to be organized to allow closer interactions
among members in their participation of the Alumni activities.
During the launch, Mr. Teo presented Certificates
of Appointment to the Alumni Committee members. Games,
singing and lucky draw were held to make the launch
more eventful. Members present were hosted to a buffet

Visit by Senior Officers
of the Education Services Division of the Singapore Tourism
Board
A group of senior officers
from the Education Services Division of the Singapore Tourism
Board visited the Dimensions Education Campus on 5th October
2007. They were warmly welcomed by the Dimensions Management
Team and taken on a tour of the campus, including entry into
the mock-up restaurants and bars as well as a mock-up hotel
room. Overall, they were very impressed at the services and
well-equipped facilities, including the games’ areas, provided
for the students’ training as well as indoor and outdoor sports

who has achieved the highest mark in the world in her Cambridge
IGCSE examinations for First Language Chinese in June 2005.

CEO Visit
Official visit by Mr Bruce Poh, Director &
Chief Executive Officer of ITE (standing 5th from left) and

The Dimensions Management Team warmly welcomed the ITE Team
and showed the new campus and facilities and shared our experiences
on the school’s hospitality and language training programs.
