BTEC Higher National Diplomas
(HNDs) have been at the forefront of cutting-edge professional
qualification design. It is administered by Edexcel
International, which was formed in 1996 by the merger
of BTEC (the Business and Technology Education Council)
and the University of London Examinations and Assessment
Council. Edexcel is one of the largest qualification
awarding bodies in UK, and is approved by the official

(QCA).
BTEC HND (Business) is offered as a two-year programme
that is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding
and skills required for success in current or future
employment, or for progression to an undergraduate degree.

Students who have successfully completed the BTEC HND
programmes have an advanced standing into the final
(third) year of the University of Sunderland, subject
to the entry requirements of the English proficiency.
Upon completion of the final (third) year, students
are eligible to obtain the Bachelor Degree (Honors)
in Accounting & Financial Management from the University
of Sunderland.
