Unleashed your potential in the hospitality industry! Our training modules are specially designed to meet the needs of aspiring hospitality students like you. Our Diploma in Hospitality Management is awarded by the Australian Academy of Hospitality Management (AAHM).

The Diploma in Hospitality Management programme is to prepare students for management positions in leading hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities worldwide through a combination of innovative studies and hands-on experience in different properties and environments.

The Diploma represents a qualification that consists of specialised, technical or managerial competencies used to plan, carry out and evaluate work of self and / or team. The qualification will help the graduate to intimately understand and have the knowledge and skills to work in the following areas of a hotel, resort, restaurant, etc.

Dimensions Commercial School is an exclusive provider for Australian Academy of Hospitality Management (AAHM).

AAHM has met the requirements of Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and thus is a recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and registered by Training Accreditation Council (TAC) (National Provider No: 51188).

This 15-months programme consists of two components:

  1. Institutional Training:
    Theory and practical class lessons, conducted on the premises at Dimensions Commercial School.
    Duration is nine (9) months.
  2. ON-THE-JOB Training (OJT) **:
    Students are attached to well-known hotels, resorts, country clubs or restaurants to perform their industry attachment.
    Duration is six (6) months.
 
EDUCATION CHART:
 
** Students are entitled to only one (1) OJT-posting. They must attain an attendance rate of more than 90% to qualify for the OJT-posting and no further OJT-posting will be arranged if the student withdraw or is terminated by the OJT centre.

Semester 1  
  • Core Units

      Food and Beverage Practical
  • Bar
    • Clean and tidy bar areas
    • Prepare and serve cocktails
    • Operate a bar
    • Prepare and serve espresso coffee
  • Restaurant
    • Provide link between kitchen and service areas
    • Provide food and beverage service
    • Rooms Division Practical

  • Functional area: Concierge
    • Provide porter services
    • Develop and update local knowledge
  • Functional area: Housekeeping
    • Clean premises and equipment
    • Provide housekeeping services to guest
    • Prepare rooms for guests
  • Functional area units: Front desk attendant
    • Provide accommodation reception services (incl fin trnx)

 

Semester 2  
  • Core Units:
    • Receive and store stock
    • Control and order stock
    • Monitor work operations
    • Implement workplace health, safety and security procedures
    • Lead and manage people
    • Interpret financial information
  • Professional Conduct
    • Plan and Manage Meetings
    • Create electronic presentations

  • Food and Beverage - Practical 2 /Class room
    • Provide specialist advice on wine
    • Provide specialist advice on food
  • Rooms Division - Practical 2 /Class room
    • Conduct night audit
Semester 3  
  • Core Units:
    • Develop and implement operation plans
    • Establish and maintain a safe and secure workplace
    • Roster staff
    • Manage quality customer service
    • Manage finances within a budget
    • Prepare and monitor budgets
    • Develop and update the legal knowledge required for business compliance
    • Establish and conduct business relationships
    • Manage workplace diversity

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
 

Students must be 17 ? 30 years old and must have successfully completed/passed junior high school or its equivalent.

Duration : 15 months
Days and time : Monday to Friday :
9.30am?12.30pm and 1.45pm?3.45pm (5 Hours)
(3 hours lectures and 2 hours for self-study, tutorials or assignments)
Intake : Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct (Modular Intake)
Arrangements can be made for students to join a newly commenced class.
Examination Periods : End of programme
Pre-requisites for Completion : (a) Attendance must be more than 90% and not absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason. ( ICA Requirements)
(b) A pass in all the examinations.
(c) Complete & Pass Industry Attachment.
Qualification Award : Diploma in Hospitality Management, AAHM

A)
To complete the Application Form you have to provide us the following:
  1. Photocopied educational certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials.
  2. 4 passport-sized photographs. Kindly write your name on the reverse side of your photographs.
  3. Resume/C.V.
B) The completed Application Form must be submitted personally to the office of Dimensions Commercial School during office hours. Original certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials must be presented to Dimensions Commercial School for verification purposes.
C) A signed Letter of Offer and a Standard Student Contract.
D)
