This dual qualifications programme is designed to teach and train students to be able to function at a middle management level in a wide range of establishments ranging from hotels, resorts, country clubs and casinos, to catering institutions. The course offers management subjects and advances the understanding of the industry.

Institute of Technical Education (ITE) is a post-secondary institution that provides pre-employment training to secondary school leavers and continuing education and training to working adults. Since its establishment in April 1992, ITE has developed itself into an institution well-known for its provision of broad-based, multi-disciplinary curriculum that ranges from engineering to technical, business and service skill areas.

The UK City & Guilds Pitman Qualifications in Reception Operations and Services is a highly respected qualification for people who want to upgrade their knowledge and skills to work in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry, providing service to customers using internationally recognised standards.

Dimensions Commercial School is an Approved Training Provider for the NITEC Food & Beverage Operations.

Dimensions Commercial School is an Approved Training Provider for the UK C&G Pitman Qualifications.

This 18-month programme consists of two components: -

  • Institutional Training:
    Theory and practical class lessons are conducted on the premises at Dimensions Commercial School.
    Duration is twelve (12) months.
  • ON-THE-JOB Training (OJT):
    Students are attached to well-known hotels, resorts, country clubs or restaurants to perform their industry attachment. Duration is six (6) months.

NOTE: Candidates will be required to sit for a practical skills competency examination and a one and a half hour written test.

** Students are entitled to only one (1) OJT-posting. They must attain an attendance rate of more than 90% to qualify for the OJT-posting and no further OJT-posting will be arranged if the student withdraws or is terminated from the OJT centre.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
 

Students must be at least 16 ? 25 years of age and must have successfully completed junior high school or its equivalent.

Duration : 18 months
Days and time : Monday to Friday
9.30am–12.30pm or 1.45pm–4.45pm
Intake : Preferred Timing (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov)
Examination Periods : June, December
Pre-requisites for Completion : (a) Attendance must be more than 90% and not absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason. ( ICA Requirements)
(b) A pass in all the examinations.
(c) Complete & Pass Industry Attachment.
Qualification Award : NITEC in Food & Beverage Operations, issued by Singapore, ITE and Diploma in Food & Beverage Service issued by UK, City & Guilds Pitman.
 
APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
 
A)
To complete the Application Form you have to provide us the following:
  1. Photocopied educational certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials.
  2. 4 passport-sized photographs. Kindly write your name on the reverse side of your photographs.
  3. Resume/C.V.
B) The completed Application Form must be submitted personally to the office of Dimensions Commercial School during office hours. Original certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials must be presented to Dimensions Commercial School for verification purposes.
C) A signed Letter of Offer and a Standard Student Contract.
