This hospitality programme is designed for students who want to embark on a career in the Room Division of a Hotel. Our training modules are specially designed with hands on practical training to meet the needs of the hospitality industry. Students will be taught a specially structured syllabus to be able to function at a middle management level in a wide range of establishments ranging from leading hotels, resorts, country clubs and restaurants to catering institutions.

Successful students who have completed the course requirements and sat for the prescribed examinations will be award a National ITE Certificate in Accommodation Operations by the National Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) is a post-secondary institution that provides pre-employment training to secondary school leavers and continuing education and training to working adults. Since its establishment in April 1992, ITE has developed itself into an institution well-known for its provision of broad-based, multi-disciplinary curriculum that ranges from engineering to technical, business and services skills areas.

Dimensions Commercial School is an Approved Training Provider (ATP) for NITEC Accommodation Operations.

This 18-month programme consists of two components: -

  1. Theory and practical class lessons, conducted on the premises at Dimensions Commercial School
    Duration for Institutional Training is twelve (12) months
  2. (ii) ON-THE-JOB Training (Industry Attachment) aspect of this programme, where students are trained at well-known hotels, resorts, country clubs or restaurants.
    Duration for Supervised Field Training is six (6) months.

** Students are entitled to only one (1) OJT-posting. They must attain an attendance rate of more than 90% to qualify for the OJT-posting and no second OJT-posting will be arranged if the student withdraws or is terminated from the OJT centre.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
 

Students must be 16 ? 25 years of age and must have successfully completed junior high school or its equivalent

Duration : 18 months
Days and time : Monday to Friday
9.30am–12.30pm or 1.45pm–4.45pm
Intake : Preferred Timing (June & December)
Arrangements can be made for students to join a newly commenced class.
Examination Periods : June, December
Pre-requisites for Completion : (a) Attendance must be more than 90% and not absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason. (ICA Requirements)
(b) A pass in all the examinations.
(c) Complete & Pass the Industry Attachment.
Qualification Award : NITEC in Food & Beverage Operations, issued by Singapore ITE.
 
APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
 
A)
To complete the Application Form you have to provide us the following:
  1. Photocopied educational certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials.
  2. 4 passport-sized photographs. Kindly write your name on the reverse side of your photographs.
  3. Resume/C.V.
B) The completed Application Form must be submitted personally to the office of Dimensions Commercial School during office hours. Original certificates, transcripts, awards and testimonials must be presented to Dimensions Commercial School for verification purposes.
C) A signed Letter of Offer and a Standard Student Contract.
